Great service, delicious food and excellent prices. The French onion soup was delicious, loved the type of bread croutons they used within the soup. My daughter loved the salmon and asked for it without the sauce and the beet salad was so fresh and well prepared. I got the short rib meal for my partner afterwards to go and it was so tender and a great portion. Will absolutely be back, this is a hidden gem!
Just went for my birthday brunch. First time there and wow what a nice change. Not disappointed in the least. For once, a restaurant that provided great atmosphere, experience, food and service. Didn't break the bank either! The fish n chips and roasted rib was so yummy. Even ordered two fish n chips to go for dinner later.
A truly unique experience each time. Front of the house staff is always a delight, bringing smiles and laughter to your table, alongside your yummy food and a great selection of craft breweries on tap. Back of the house offers great takes on classics like the vegetarian eggplant parmigiana (they’re great at accommodating dietary restrictions), a chicken & bacon burger that’s to die for, & switching up their “Pasta of the day” to bring you new flavours each visit. They also offer authentic Greek food like the flaming cheese Saganaki, chicken/pork souvlaki, chicken pita which comes with Greek salad, fresh cut fries & housemade tzatziki complementing the pita and many other dishes like the calamari. This locally owned restaurant that’s highly established and well regarded in the Village is a can’t miss if you’re in London, it’s a gem of a place!
Definitely one of the nicest patios to enjoy a drink and good food in London. Wortley village is a local gem and Sweet onion bistro fits perfectly in this community. A great place to share drinks with friends and watch the world go by.
From the moment we sat down on the patio out front, we were treated to attentive friendly service and live music. We started off with Saganaki, which was delicious. We then enjoyed saganaki grilled cheese, the classic burger, and their gyro in a pita.As I enjoyed my meal, I realized that a lot of the patrons were making an evening out of their visit, and for good reason. Oh , you can also bring your dog along!
We had a Greek dinner here and it was amazing. On the last Friday of every month, they do a Greek Night featuring live Greek music and a specialty menu with Greek delicacies. We ordered calamari, dip trio, and shareable Pikilia for two (it was huge plate and leftovers were enough to fed two people the next day). Everything was delicious, and being Turkish myself (with a great deal of shared cuisine), it felt like home.
Grabbed a chicken souvlaki platter for pickup! It was ready in 20 mins and was seasoned to perfection Greek potatoes are so lemon-y and delicious!Kindest service from the lovely lady working and cozy European bistro vibes indoors. I am definitely inviting my friends to dine-in next time!
This restaurant is amazing.Family owned and run.The care that is put into the food, decor and ambiance is soul warming.I finally stopped in to have one of my favourite treats and I wasn’t disappointed.Saganaki is one of the Greek staples that is amazing or a bit of a let down.I was fully impressed and loved everything from the lighting of the brandy, to the stretching of the cheese, and to the dipping of the incredibly fresh pita!I sat on the very spacious patio and loved watching all the people traffic.Thank you to Cleopatra who welcomed me to her restaurant like I was family.I’m also looking forward to trying the Sweet Onion Bistro in Byron Village too!
